Yorkshire based artist Andrew Howard produces beautiful pet portraits in pastel, pencil, and oils. All Andrew's paintings and drawings are lovingly created and are meticulously detailed resulting in a stunning likeness. A keen artist since a young age, Andrew has always been striving for detail and realism in his work. Greatly impressed by the photo realistic paintings created centuries ago, many of which hang in our stately homes, Andrew has always sought to create similar beautiful results.

Pet portraits are easy to commission. Whether you are after dog portraits, cat portraits or horse portraits, simply send a good quality, favourite photograph of your animal to the artist and a beautiful portrait can be produced! Working from your photograph, it will take approximately 7 weeks to produce your oil painting portrait or 4 weeks to produce a pastel or pencil portrait. You are welcome to discuss your thoughts and ideas as to the composition or colours of the painting and frame, as after all it is your painting. If you have been inspired by or taken a shine to another painting and you would like a similar looking portrait, it is possible to reproduce that. Pencil Sketches of Yorkshire

In addition to his work producing pet portraits, Andrew has produced the Sketches of Yorkshire collection. The Sketches of Yorkshire collection is an ever expanding series of complimenting prints of original pencil drawings of Yorkshire towns and cities. Printed the same size as the original pencil sketch, they are a fantastically detailed record of the location whilst showing all the fine pencil strokes.
