About The Artist

Yorkshire based artist Andrew Howard produces beautiful portraits of people and animals in pastel, pencil, and oils. All Andrew's paintings and drawings are lovingly created and are meticulously detailed resulting in a stunning likeness. A keen artist since a young age, Andrew has always been striving for detail and realism in his work. Greatly impressed by the photo realistic paintings created centuries ago, many of which hang in our stately homes, Andrew has always sought to create similar beautiful results.

Gaining a BSc Honours degree in Industrial Product Design at Coventry University, before further training as a Graphic Designer, Andrew's creative abilities have been applied to leisure vehicles, furniture and websites. A background in design and graphics can inspire new ways composing or finishing a painting, resulting in a portrait a little different from the norm.

Working from photographs, Andrew can produce an oil painting of a family member, friend or favourite pet as a beautiful lasting image. Working with the artist you can choose the image you wish to portray, whether a formal portrait of a person, reflecting business success or a casual pose with possibly an element of humour, showing you at ease in familiar surroundings. Group portraits can be produced too, whether several family members together or just you and your faithful four legged friend at your side. The colours used in a painting can also be tailored to match the decor of the room it is to hang in if you wish! The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
